Hobby Strip Maker

This stripper has been engineered to accurately cutbalsa sheetsand many other materials such asfoamed pvc,plastics, cork, foams, etc..up to 1/4″ (6mm) thick into strips up to 1/2″ (12mm)wide. This design has a lead screw with 32 threads per inch so that each turn of the wheel will move the blade 1/32 of an inch (0.8 mm). Starting with the blade in the initial position,four turns will produce a perfect 1/8″ (3mm) strip.

The blade furnished is the Type 11 used in modeling knives so they are replaceable. To install or replace the blade, loosen the retaining screws and slip a blade between the retainer and the slide. Place on a smooth Surface and with the blade nearly vertical, tighten the screws. Note that the stripper can be set up for left or right handed use. Stripping is best done on a smooth surface. Draw the stripper toward you along the edge of the material to cut.
