The History of Derwent goes back to 1916 in Keswick, England, when it was known as The Cumberland Pencil Company. But the tradition of pencil making in the area goes back to 1832. With a new factory opened in Lillyhall, England in 2008, Derwent looks to continue this heritage far into future and continue making most of their products in the UK.
