This set of Caran d’Ache Museum Aquarelle Pencils contains 76 water-soluble coloured pencils and four repeated colours, as well as three Technalo water-soluble graphite pencils (HB, B, 3B) and one Grafwood graphite pencil (2B).

For the first time ever, with Museum Aquarelle, the Maison Caran d’Ache offers professional artists the possibility of wielding a pencil with the strength and effects of genuine watercolour. This fantastic medium is perfect for works intended forexhibition, collection and museum purposes.

The softness of the lead in addition to its large, 3.8 mm diameter mean that Museum Aquarelle pencils can be used in a number of ways  both dry and as watercolours. From precision drawing to wet drawing, blending, mixed, gradation or overlaying techniques: artists now have the ability to achieve the entire spectrum of watercolour effects. A palette of 76 colours springs to life through contact with water and with textured paper.

The box set is beautifully made with superior quality birch and beech with a protective varnish. A dark mahogany colour with a gold colour silkscreen (inside and outside) and golden fastenings.
